An essential part of the course Strategic Design Management and Marketing is Markstrat, a strategic marketing simulation software to test theories and make decisions under true-to-life market conditions (StratX Simulations, n.d.).
Markstrat is a marketing strategy simulation that offers a highly competitive market to place products and to target selected consumer groups. The simulation aims to maximise the Share Price Index (SPI).
With this software, students can apply different marketing theories and learn from their experiences, whether positive or negative (StratX Simulations, n.d.).
Markstrat simulation was performed in groups of five. We achieved the best SPI score out of all participating teams.
